Heard about this eclectic family run restaurant and wanted to give it a try. Wide range of options ranging from burger & sandwiches to pho and wor wonton to schnitzel & roast beef.

Arrived at 11 am so there was plenty of parking. However the parking lot was full by the time we left.

We tried the pork schnitzel with mash potatoes and veggies as well as a club sandwich with fries. Very healthy portions, freshly made but a bit on the bland side. Price was very reasonable. Wasn't as good as it was hyped up to be. We will maybe try the wonton soup next time.

One of the few places that understand how to make a proper Wiener Schnitzel in Calgary. Even the austrian cultural house has no idea. The Deluxe Pho is sublime, must try. Service is also amazing, very nice people. Btw, you can buy flowers as well! 10/10, would suggest.

When I saw that this restaurant had a 4.8 rating I was very intrigued, but he's very evident to why it's praised so highly.

The staff are all extremely warm and welcoming, and the food is outstanding. I'd like to think that I've had my fair share of Pho in my life , and this is an extremely solid bowl of pho. I got the deluxe pho today cause I was feeling boujee, and it came with all the typical fixings, trips, tendon, beef ball, brisket, etc.

Due to location being situated in the Foothills industrial park, I would never expect to have some A+ Vietnamese food but I'm pleasantly surprised.

Side note - some of the best chili oil I've had in Canada, very fragrant and tasty!

If you are looking for great lunch spot, highly recommend Blue Danube.

I'd like to start by saying I have been on the hunt for a Wor wonton soup since my 35 years of loyalty to Kings/Wonton King came to an end when things changed there.

So...

I had always searched for something that matched or even came CLOSE to it.

Well after reading reviews and several other visits and tries of other soups, I rolled into this place around 2pm and think I may have found something quite good in Blue Danube!! It checks so many of the boxes of what I look for.
- Vegetables (broccoli, baby corn, carrots, green onion, mushroom) are fresh and crisp, blanched nicely
- grilled pork strips are good, but were lacking a presence in my bowl
- noodles were quite good. Good portion of these
- broth is dark, quite salty but hits the spot
- finally the wontons... my bowl had 7 of them. Really good size wontons, nice texture and well wrapped. While they were good, there is an overwhelming spice that takes over the flavour of them. Trying to pinpoint it... but still quite good.

Overall this place has it! Give it a try if you are searching like I have been.
Approachable prices, good portions, friendly people and a good looking menu.
The soup is close to what I had for 35 years and could use some tweaks (in my opinion and for my palate) but I will definitely be back for another bowl and to try some other items! Thanks for the good experience folks!!

Hands down one of the best Satay Noodle Soup and Pho in Calgary! The portions are big, the flavors are spot on, and their Vietnamese coffee hits the spot too. The staff were so welcoming and always smiling, which made the whole experience even better. This place is a true hidden gem—can’t wait to come back! Would love to see halal options on the menu if possible.

This place has it all. Highly recommended the wor wonton soup. The viet subs are some of the best in the city. And if Asian isn’t your flavour, their western lunch buffet items are fantastic as well (schnitzel, cabbage rolls, roast beef etc). To top it off, the owners are very lovely people.

Update - The new owners are doing an amazing job bringing Vietnamese food to Foothills Industrial!

This is a family operated cafeteria that has great lunch specials. I had a kielbasa sausage, caramelized onions, mashed potatoes, steamed peas & carrots and mac & cheese for $10.5. This is a great addition to Calgary's SE industrial park. My coworker loves the wonton soup.

Great place in the SE in an industrial zone. It was a bit hard to find but serves the locals. I met a friend for brunch and we shared a pork schnitzel and the satay beef pho soup. Schnitzel was hot, crisp and tender. Came with gravy and we chose mash and mixed veggies as sides. The pho broth was very tasty but not as nutty as I like. Minor amount of heat and full of noodles and meat. We loved both items and they kept topping up our water. This place is clean and friendly and also sells fresh flowers and cards in case you need some in a pinch. Ample free parking. Give them a try and support a small business!

Most people like myself drive by places like these without giving it a second thought as it is hidden in the foothills industrial area just off Barlow. A colleague of mine suggested I try it as it is just a minute walk from our office. The owners/staff were very welcoming and friendly. They checked to see if everything was good and refilled my water. I ordered the Sate Pho not expecting it to be as good as it was. This place literally has something for everyone - especially if you are thinking of having a team gathering or lunch meeting here. This is my colleagues quick lunch stop and will be mine as well!

It's a restaurant in an industrial area so atmosphere is sort if diner cafétéria type. Staff were super friendly. The schnitzel was nicely breaded and crispy without being too dry. Basic good food at very reasonable prices. My schnitzel was $13.50. Came with choice of potatoes and veggies.

The ladies working were really nice, I got a Vietnamese sub and shrimp salad rolls. The salad rolls were big, flavourful and well assembled. The sub was exceptional; plenty of meat, well balanced vegetables,nicely spicy, and the bun was bang on with lovely crust. I will be back!

WoW. I had a fantástic roast beef with the most delicious scalloped potatoes. I will not tell my mom but these potatoes are better!

The viatnamese coffee is a délicacy and the service is impeccable.

Absolutely 10/10 experience ! My brother took me here for lunch all the time. They have a lot of options and lunch specials. I remember the first time I was kinda scared because of the location. I don’t usually go to industrial area for a restaurant but the staffs were so kind, friendly ( specially Paul ) plus the place was so clean. Foods are tasty and delicious. It is definitely a hidden gem. Highly recommended !!!

A restaurant gem hidden in the Foothills Industrial Park. It's rare to find a spot in this neighborhood that houses the holy trinity: good food, good price and good service. Blue Danube is the triple threat, hosting a delicious menu of Vietnamese fare and Ukrainian fare. I ordered the Satay Pho with rare beef, but I saw a person at the table next to me order the daily special of cabbage rolls, mashed potato and a pork schnitzel- it looked amazing and the portion was generous. The Pho is excellent and made me regret not finding this restaurant earlier. The service counter was clean, organized and I was in & out on my lunch break in 30 min. Money well spent.

They menu has changed compared to last year. I miss the old eastern European and Asian mixed menu. The new menu is mostly Vietnamese.
I find the price to be on the high-side for a small business, but the food and service is great though. I would come back but not for a while.

Visit this place weekly. The wonton soup is amazing. So rich in flavor and the noodles are perfect. My friend has a lunch special is good too ( huge portion ). On the top of that is an excellent customer service from Hanna and Paul. Highly recommended and we will surely comeback soon.

Great place that is tucked away in the industrial park. I went on a Saturday and had the rare beef noodle soup (also known as Pho Tai) and the spring rolls. Both were fantastic! Great place to go on Saturday for lunch if your looking for great lunch and a quiet place to eat.

I can't decide which is better, the food or the service. Paul and Hanah do a great job at providing terrific food, from two completely different menus. Always with a smile, and a genuine concern that you have a pleasant dining experience. Whether you dine in, or grab it to go, like so many of us that sometimes don't have the time to sit and relax. Cannot recommend it enough!

Came here after my partner had an interview nearby, I was so pleasantly surprised at how welcoming Paul and Hannah were. They were patient while we debated on what to order and helped us finalize our choices.

They also had one of the best attitudes I have encountered at a restaurant in general of late. Both Paul and Hannah greeted me with a smile and were quite friendly. This is in stark contrast to a lot of the eateries that open up in an industrial section, where people don't seem as genuinely caring about customers or others.

The food is amazing, the staff are kind, this feels like a place you could come consistently and wind up feeling like family.

What a great spot for lunch! The cabbage rolls were absolutely out of this world! The schnitzel was a proper schnitzel too, as good as any I’ve had in Eastern Europe. I love how everything is fresh here. The veggies are cut in house and lightly steamed which is so much better than the soggy, frozen veg that is offered at other places. Everything here tastes so homemade and it’s the best priced lunch in town and the portions are very generous!! It’s also ready in a flash so if you or your crew need a quick lunch, this is the place to be. I just stumbled in on it today and I’ll definitely be going back regularly. When I get back to the shop, I’m telling the whole crew about this little gem! 10 outta 10!
